Pen Pal Program
How Does it Work?
Letters are exchanged with a 4th grade student at Marcy School once a month or more if each partner is so inspired. Students send the first letter in the fall to introduce themselves and start the process.
Southeast Seniors can provide you with stationary, envelopes and stamps if needed - let us know.
Students learn to write a neat and legible letter telling their story and sharing their lives. Some have grandparents in their lives, and some are grateful to have an older someone to be important to them. Being a Pen Pal helps students learn to express themselves on paper.
Join the end of the year party to meet your Pen Pal and share your experiences from the past year. We'll meet up at the school in May to celebrate the year.
Let us know if you want to participate or know someone who would be interested. Fill out our form, call 612-331-2302 or email Ann Carter at firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm interested! Sign me up!
