At the November 12 Board meeting, the Southeast Seniors board members began planning for a new three-year strategic plan. The ideas began flowing easily, and the excitement grew as board members began to offer suggestions to expand the programming and services available to seniors living in the 55414 zipcode. At the December board meeting, the board will begin to group ideas to focus planning and make implementation possible.

Thanks to over 50 volunteers who worked during 3 weekends in November, leaves were raked and bagged in yards of 15 seniors living in the Southeast Seniors service area. Special thanks go out to 4 University of Minnesota Fraternities including Beta Theta Pi, The Triangle, The Farmhouse, and Phi Gamma Delta, service learning students from the University, and a group of friends and colleagues from the Physiology Department at the U. While SE Seniors provides the rakes and bags, the raking and bagging are provided by volunteers. We couldn't help so many people without this support from the community
