Your support is our foundation!
Southeast Seniors depends on support from our community and government agencies and foundations. We also rely on many volunteers to provide needed services for our clients.
“If it weren’t for you I would be alone”…“You are all doing a marvelous job – I need you all”. Comments like these are what keep the Board and staff of Southeast Seniors working to keep Southeast Seniors strong.
Southeast Seniors saves hundreds of thousands of dollars by keeping people where they most want to be – in their homes. Yet the very government funding which produces these savings is being reduced by budget cuts. Your support is our foundation. We urge you to be generous so Southeast Seniors will be here for you and for your loved ones.

Honorary Gifts and Memorials
We usually think of giving memorials to honor someone’s life after death. Have you ever thought of honoring your family member or friend on a special occasion with a memorial? This could include a birthday, an anniversary, or the reaching of a special milestone in life.
Memorials serve two purposes: they honor those who have held a very meaningful part in our lives, and they help those whom Southeast Seniors serves. For more information on memorials to Southeast Seniors, please call 612-331-2302.
Volunteer Opportunities
Assist your elderly neighbors:
* Visitor
Visit one to three times a month, according to what schedule works best for both volunteer and elder.
* Transportation
This is the most frequently requested area for volunteer assistance. Drive an elder to the grocery store, to medical appointments or other necessary places. This can be done on a casual basis as needs arise or you could be matched with one elder who could use your on-going assistance.
* Shopping Assistance
Assist a neighbor with grocery shopping or errands on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis at a mutually agreed upon time. This simple task can be a great help to someone with limited mobility.
* Other types of assistance are at times requested by our neighborhood elders, including respite care, household projects and yard work.
* Office Assistance
Help with clerical tasks, preparing mailings, computer work, etc.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please contact us at 612-331-2302 or seseniors@mtn.org. Thank you.
