Our Staff
  • Southeast Seniors is a non-profit neighborhood based agency serving the neighborhoods of Como, Marcy-Holmes and Prospect Park in Minneapolis.

  • We are part of a network of 32 Living at Home/Block Nurse Programs throughout the State of Minnesota. For information on other programs, please contact the Living at Home Network, 651-649-0315.

  • We contract with Accentcare (formerly known as Fairview Home Care and Hospice), a Medicare-certified nursing agency for our home health services. We have RNs, LPNs and Certified Home Health Aide/Homemakers with special training in the care of older adults.

  • We bill Medicare and other insurance for in-home nursing services. We also have a sliding fee scale.

  • We have volunteers from the neighborhood who are able to visit with seniors, assist with transportation and help with other chores.

  • We coordinate services to help seniors to live well at home such as: grocery delivery, lifeline, meals, chore services, etc.

  • Financial support for the program comes from neighborhood individuals, businesses, churches and organizations, foundations, Minnesota Department of Human Services, the City of Minneapolis,   and Hennepin County.
  • Our volunteer Board of Directors is made up of Southeast residents.

  • We work closely with other neighborhood organizations in coordinating services for seniors.

  • Neighborhood organizations we work with include: Pratt Community Education, Neighborhood Associations (Como, Marcy-Holmes, and Prospect Park), Arvonne Fraser Library & East Side Neighborhood Services
